55th Annual July 4th Bell Ringing Ceremony

55th Annual Bell Ringing Ceremony held at the Aurora Historical Society’s Tanner House Museum.
Cosmo Member, John Jaros, paid tribute to the Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora celebrating 95 years of service to the community, and beginning in the early 1950’s how the Cosmos worked to restore the Tanner House Museum.

The ceremony attracted a large crowd of adults and children. The bell ringing ceremony started sharply at 1:00pm, with all three bells being rung for two full minutes. The largest bell was a replica of the 1776 Liberty Bell, and required many children to keep it ringing.

The event reminded me of an old fashioned 4th of July President George stated.
